You may be wondering why I have an offer for a free tutorial on this website.   The reasoning is driving more traffic.   When someone visits this site, there has to be a reason to keep them here.  Free is the magic word.  When you give a free offer, it is an incentive for people to stay on your website and to find out more about about your services.  You want to make it something that will driive people to you and keep them there.   So you may ask, what should it be?   It can't be just anything, but rather something that is related to your services or business. if you had an ecommerce site, you would want a coupon for something either free or at a discount.
If you are offering a service, you might want to give away a free half-hour meeting or something along those lines.

So you may be asking , why do I have an offer for a free tutorial  on my website. Since I provide Microsoft Office services, if people would like to be able to learn more about the skills, I offer them a link to a website where they can download a copy of whatever program they desire.   For moe about my services check out my services page.

A Virtual assistant performs many different services based on our clientele.   There are general VA's that perform a variety of services , such as phone work, and general office work.  There are also what are referred to as Niche VA's who focus on certain industries.   They include legal , medical , which involves transcription of documents and REVA , or real estate  VA's   Other than transcription, you don't need special training.

General VA's offer services in document preparation, data entry, internet research and Microsoft Office work. Some of them also do phone work, website design ,SEO and social media.  A few also offer special services like notary public and event planning.

How do you know which one is right for you?  Like anything you research and find out who meets your needs as well  as your budget.

You might be thinking "what is a virtual assistant"? .  In this first post , i am going to answer this question.  A Virtual Assistant does almost anything that an administrative assistant does, except that we do it from our home offices and set our own hours.  We are either self-employed and have our own businesses or we can work for someone who needs this type of service.  We generally have a home office with all the essentials needed to perform our tasks.   We pay our own taxes and can get deductions for business expenses.  We generally save on commuting expenses as we only need to walk to wherever our office happens to be located.  So , what exactly do we need to do our work.  We use equipment that you find in an office setting. This would include a computer with a high-internet connection, the appropriate software such as Microsoft Office and accounting software.  We also would have a printer , fax machine and a telephone, both landline and mobile.
What types of work do we actually perform?  We can do  data entry, phone work, transcription and Microsoft Office work.  See my services page  for more details.   We generally offer a list of services on our websites.   Our rates are generally offered either either in hourly blocks of time or by the hour.  We include retainers with our rates to ensure timeliness and quality of our work.

This is just a peek into the exciting VA industry and what  we can do for you
